Indonesia eVisa Types and Required Documents
The eligible applicant must note that, according to the selected eVisa type, the documents vary.
Applicants
must check the requirements before applying for the Indonesia eVisa.
Common Documents Needed for Each Indonesia eVisa Type
There are common documents needed for each Indonesia eVisa type
Applicant Passport Biopage
Digital scan of a passport biopage with validity of more than 6 months from
the intended travel date.
The following details must be clearly visible in the passport biopage scan:
- Passport issue and expiry date.
- Passport number.
- Applicant Nationality.
- Date of Birth.
- Passport issue authority.
Applicant Photograph
- Clean digital scan of the applicant's photograph with a white background.
- Facial expression must be neutral; the eyes must be open.
- Looking straight towards the camera.
- The photo must be full-shoulder length.
Bank Statement
A bank statement is required to show sufficient proof of travel. The statement must show the
following details:
- The statement should be for the last 3 months
- Bank balance must show a closing balance of at least USD 2,000 or its equivalent amount
in another currency.
Supporting Documents for Each eVisa Type
1. C1- Tourist Visitor eVisa (90 Days, Single Entry)
Only the 3 core documents are required: a passport, photograph, and bank statement.
2. D1-Tourist eVisa (Validity 1, 2, or 5 Years)
For tourists who require multiple entries, they need to provide any one of the following
document:
Opt. A: Invitation/letter from a government or private institution
Invitation/letter from a government agency or private institution that explains the
relationship with the applicant.
The letter must include:
- Full name, passport number and nationality of the applicant
- Purpose of visit and duration of stay
- Official stamp and signature (where applicable)
Opt. B: Statement from spouse/parents with family card
A formal declaration letter from the spouse or parents must be provided.
The letter must clearly explain the following details:
- Relationship with the applicant.
- Activities to be carried out in Indonesia.
- An attached family card as supporting proof.
3. Medical Treatment eVisa (90 Days)
In addition to the common documents, applicants must upload the following 2 documents during the
application
process:
Guarantee Letter from Guarantor
- Proof of a guarantee letter from the guarantor. The details must include:
- Applicant and guarantor names
- Nationality and passport numbers
- Occupation and relationship
Medical Treatment Statement
The statement must be provided by the applicant or a government or private institution and
explain the applicant’s health condition, required treatment and hospital details.
For Medical Treatment eVisa (1 or 2 years), in addition to the above-mentioned common
documents, also upload:
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
The applicant must provide a clear copy of their curriculum vitae detailing their personal,
educational, and professional background with their application to support their eVisa
application.
Travel Itinerary
Provide a clear copy of a round-trip flight booking confirmation showing the
passenger’s name and arrival and departure dates.
4. Business eVisa (Single-Entry, 90 Days)
Travellers visiting Indonesia for business purposes.
Invitation/letter from the institution
Provide an invitation letter from the business institution detailing the applicant’s
business
activities.
The invitation letter must be on the business institution’s letterhead, signed by an
authorised
representative, and clearly state the applicant’s business purpose.
For Multiple Entry Business Visa (1, 2, or 5 Years)
- Proof of Guarantee from the Guarantor
- Statement from spouse/parents with family card
5. Government Business Visa (90 Days, Single Entry)
Applicants meeting Indonesian government agencies during a business trip must provide an invitation or
statement clearly explaining the purpose and details of the visit.
Guarantee letter from Guarantor
The applicant must submit a guarantee letter from an Indonesian guarantor confirming support
for their government business visit and Indonesia visa application.
Invitation or statement from a government agency
Provide either an invitation letter or a statement issued by a government agency.
Must include:
- Applicant details as per passport.
- Purpose of visit and travel dates.
- Stay details (hotel or host).
- Host agency details and relationship.
For Government Business Visa (1 or 2 Years Multiple Entry)
- Invitation or statement from a Government Agency
- Curriculum Vitae
- Travel Itinerary
6. Journalist eVisa
Travellers visiting Indonesia to undertake journalism or media-related activities.
Government Invitation, Interview Approval, or Embassy Statement
Provide any ONE of the following documents:
- An invitation letter from a government institution.
- An approved interview confirmation or transcript.
- A statement from the Indonesian Embassy confirming your planned news coverage, along
with your press ID.
Note: The document submitted must include the coverage location, duration,
and publication date.
7. Filming eVisa (90 Days, Single entry)
Guarantee letter from Guarantor
Applicant must submit a guarantee letter from an Indonesian guarantor to support the filming
activities and visa application.
The document must include:
- Applicant’s and guarantor’s names
- Nationality and passport numbers
Filming Location Permit from the Relevant Ministry
The applicant must provide a valid filming location permit that the relevant Indonesian
authority has issued for the filming activities.
For Filming eVisa (1 or 2 Years, Multiple Entry)
