Entry Requirements for Kenya

Kenya’s entry rules depend on your nationality and travel plans. Check the option that applies to your trip:

  • Kenya eTA: Travellers who require an eTA must complete an online application before travelling to Kenya.
  • Visa-Exempt Entry: Eligible travellers can enter Kenya without an eTA for permitted stays and purposes.

Kenya eTA Breakdown

Kenya has replaced its eVisa system with the Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA). Eligible travellers must now obtain a Kenya eTA before travelling.

The eTA is a digital travel authorisation issued before departure that allows eligible travellers to travel to Kenya for approved purposes. It is linked electronically to the traveller's passport and helps facilitate the pre-screening process before arrival.
