Hi Mazel, as a DRC passport holder, you'll need to apply for a Brazilian visitor (tourist) visa before travelling. Since you're visiting for your friend's birthday and also planning to do some sightseeing, be sure to mention both purposes in your application and provide supporting documents, such as an invitation letter from your friend (if available), proof of accommodation, return flight reservation, financial documents, and any other documents required by the Brazilian authorities.
